The Quarterly DAILY dEPOSITSx Community Beach Clean-Up has remained a dedicated effort for more than two years. Although the name has evolved, the mission to protect and preserve our coastline has never wavered.
This initiative began with two individuals, David Thomas and Troy Alsobrook, who were seeking new, healthier activities during their early journey into sobriety. They started meeting at Toe’s Beach for routine exercise, often running the shoreline. Troy preferred to run barefoot, which quickly revealed the extent of beach debris—a discomfort that made four-mile runs nearly impossible. The realization was immediate: something had to change.
Motivated by this experience, David proposed organizing a beach clean-up in a meaningful and intentional way. Originally launched as the TEN Haircare x Claytone Beach Clean-Up, the effort has since grown into a recurring act of community service that draws volunteers from across the area.
Today, every quarter, the team rallies a group of committed individuals to give back to Mother Nature—working together to ensure our beach remains a safe, clean, and thriving environment for everyone to enjoy.
